ABSTRACT

Objective:To observe the effect of Jieyu Anmian prescription of Chinese medicine foot bath on gastrointestinal function in patients with digestive system tumor during perioperative period. Methods:A total of 130 patients with digestive system tumors were chosen from January 2019 to March 2020 for the first time visits to the first hospital of lanzhou university for surgical treatment, 15 cases lost follow-up, and the rest 115 cases of patients were divided into the experimental group (59 cases) and the control group (56 cases) according to random number table method. The control group using conventional care method, the experimental group was treated with Jieyu Anmian washing formula on the basis of routine nursing care for 10 days. During the foot bath, the recovery of gastrointestinal function, the time of the first exhaust and defecation, the length of stay, the cost of stay and the satisfaction of patients were compared between the two groups. Results:The recovery time of bowel sounds, anal exhaust time and first defecation time of the experimental group were all earlier than those of the control group (16.21±11.81) h, (19.64±12.40) h and (41.98 ±19.16) h, respectively, while those of the control group were (27.34±31.47) h, (35.81±18.26) h and (34.47±16.41) h, respectively. The differences were statistically significant ( t value was -2.41, -5.33, 2.17, P< 0.05). The results of the survey of patient satisfaction showed that the experimental group was superior to the control group, with 97.47 ± 4.37 in the experimental group and 94.19 ± 3.29 in the control group, with statistically significant differences ( t value was 3.89, P<0.01). The satisfaction of doctors in the experimental group was 97.41 ± 6.25 and 94.21±5.91 in the control group, with statistically significant difference ( t value was 3.95, P<0.05). The satisfaction of nurses in the experimental group was 97.58 ± 4.53 and 93.85±5.23 in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant ( t value was 4.12, P<0.05). There was no significant difference between the two groups in terms of length of stay and hospitalization expenses ( P>0.05). Conclusions:Jieyuanmian prescription of Chinese medicine foot bath can promote the recovery of gastrointestinal function, promote the exhaust and defecation, and improve the satisfaction of patients and nurses.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To establish a supplementary diagnostic indicator (infrared radiant intensity) in tongue diagnosis of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in patients with hyperplasia of mammary glands through correlation analysis of infrared radiant intensity between hyperplastic breast tissue and tongue surface. METHODS: Infrared radiant intensity of the hyperplastic breast tissue and different points on tongue surface in 20 cases of hyperplasia of mammary glands with liver-energy stagnation and phlegm retention syndrome and 16 cases of hyperplasia of mammary glands with irregular thoroughfare and conception vessels syndrome were measured with external infrared spectrometer PHE-201 made by Shanghai Institute of Technical Physics. Correlation of infrared radiant intensity between the hyperplastic breast tissue and the different points on tongue surface was assessed by using bivariate correlation analysis. RESULTS: The results showed that the numbers of positive correlated wave bands of infrared radiant intensity between the hyperplastic breast tissue and different detected points on tongue surface in the patients with liver-energy stagnation and phlegm retention syndrome and irregular thoroughfare and conception vessels syndrome were 127 (83.55%) and 71 (46.71%), respectively. Infrared radiant intensity between the hyperplastic breast tissue and the tongue surface had a positive correlation. CONCLUSION: Infrared radiant intensity can be used as one of supplementary diagnostic indicators in TCM tongue diagnosis of hyperplasia of mammary glands.

ABSTRACT

Objective To access the effectiveness and safety of traditional Chinese medicine for the patients with post-stroke depression, and provide the evidence for clinical practice. Methods Systematically search(computer and hand) CNKI,VIP,CBM,PUBMED,EMBASE and related magzines for the randomized controlled trials(RCT) and clinical controlled trials(CCT) of traditional Chinese medicine in treating post-stroke depression published. To evaluate and analyze the quality of literature with evidence-based medicine approach. Results 69 RCTs and 6 CCTs met the selection criteria.Only 11 RCTs had proper random methods and 2 RCTs used blind method. There were coparability of groups in 62 RCTs and it was mentioned in 8 researchs of exit and lost.It was showed that the effective rate of treatment group was higher than that of the control group, the ineffective rate and adverse effects in treatment group were lower than that of the control group.4 RCTs were made Meta analysis and quantitative analysis.4 trials were 3 using Jadad Scale,11 trials were 2,other 55 trials were 0~1.Conclusions Large sample, multicentre, prospective randomized trials are needed to strengthen Meta analysis evidence concluded by lower methodological quality of included studies.Furthermore, systematic review should be improved and updated if new evidence appeared.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the antibiotic use in Shanghai Second and Third Class Hospitals. METHODS: The use of antibiotics in outpatients and inpatients in 10 third class hospitals and 13 second class hospitals were analyzed statistically in respect of consumption sum, order of varieties. RESULTS: The proportion of antibiotic use in Shanghai second and third class hospitals showed a different degree of decrease. However, in terms of the number of prescriptions and consumption sum, the proportions of antibiotics used in outpatient department were significantly higher in second class hospitals than in third class hospitals. The proportion of antibiotic use in inpatients (both non-surgery and surgery ones) were still on the high side, most had a postoperative antibiotic using coure of 3 to 7 days. CONCLUSION: The proportion and duration of antibiotic use should be strictly under control to ensure safe, effective and economical use of antibiotics.
